This question presents a lot of thoughts in the current times of teaching.  I could not agree more that students with special needs should be in the classroom with peers as much as possible in order to create a respectful, diverse environment.  As you pointed out, the inclusion of diverse students is the law.  With this in mind, we as future teachers will need to be ready to handle a variety of differing needs.  I know I will be utilizing the help of inclusion support teachers!  I also appreciated that you highlighted a key point whereby Jim points out the potential need for differentiation of space.  While you have mentioned the noise-cancelling headphones, brain breaks, and sensory tools within the classroom as tools to adjust the current environment, where could these students go if the classroom isn’t their full-time location?  Further, how can we remain inclusive as teachers when some of our students can’t be inside the classroom full-time?
